DAVE NICHOLS
Leadership
Dave brings over 15 years of carbon and environmental finance experience. As a pioneer in the carbon space, he founded Pangea Capital Partners in 2005, leading over 30 CDM and VCS projects in Asia. He also excelled in clean-tech finance, notably at AppHarvest, where he managed major financial strategies. Dave holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the University of Delaware and an MBA from Columbia University.
JOHN CHARALAMBAKIS
Leadership
John is the Managing Principal of BlackSummit Financial Group (BFG), a US-based wealth and asset management advisory firm. BFG also manages Fundamental Analytics, which specializes in commodities and is expanding into carbon trading. John has collaborated with governments across Europe and the Americas, and a BFG-led consortium recently won the tender for the Port of Kavala in Greece. He is also a professor of Economics at the University of Kentucky’s Patterson School of Diplomacy.
ALFRED EVANS
Advisory Board
Alfred has 25 years of experience in international finance, focusing on energy and agricultural commodities. He has served as a regional CEO, managed financial services divisions for global commodity companies, and led a UK regulated investment manager with over $1 billion in investor commitments. Alfred holds advanced degrees in law, Russian, and international finance. He lectures at the University of Geneva and serves on the Board of Advisors for FACS.
MATT TREADWELL
Advisory Board
Matt has over 20 years of extensive maritime industry experience across the UK, Norway, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. As a pivotal figure in organizations like YoungShip, Lloyd’s Register and the British Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, he has tirelessly championed the advancement of the sector. From founding the YoungShip Liverpool branch to supporting start-ups, Matt has been a mentor and advocate for emerging talent. His expertise spans traditional shipping, offshore aquaculture, and oil & gas, with a recent focus on guiding the sector towards net-zero emissions by 2050. Matt’s proactive approach emphasizes the crucial role of insurance in navigating risks amidst the energy transition.
SEÁN CLEARY
Advisory Board
Seán has served as a non-executive director on several corporate boards, with a focus on corporate governance, and chaired the Risk and Compliance Committee of an international private equity group. He has been a Board member of many non-profit organizations, and a Strategic Adviser to the World Economic Forum. He is also Executive Vice-Chair of the FutureWorld Foundation, an Advisory Council member of the World Leadership Alliance-Club de Madrid, EIT Climate-KIC, Carnegie Artificial Intelligence and Equality Initiative, and the Institute of Advanced Studies, Kőszeg; a Faculty Member of the Parmenides Foundation; a Senior Advisor and Senior Fellow (and former Board Member) of the Salzburg Global Seminar; a Fellow and Special Adviser of the Global Solutions Initiative, and a Diplomacy Moderator of the Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator.
ANTHONY RODOLAKIS
Dr. Anthony Rodolakis is an economist and public-finance/government-affairs strategist with 25+ years’ experience at the New York State Division of the Budget, the Assembly Ways & Means Committee, and PwC. He helps companies and public agencies turn macro trends into capital-planning, financing, and tax-incentive strategies across the U.S. and Greece, connecting institutional and family-office capital to real-economy projects. He holds a PhD in Economics.
RACHEL MUSTOR
Rachel Poole Mustor holds a Master’s in Diplomacy and International Commerce from the Patterson School at the University of Kentucky and a B.A. in Business and Spanish from Asbury University. She brings marketing, research, project management, and administrative experience to FACS, along with a strong interest in geopolitics and geoeconomics. As BlackSummit’s Director of Operations, Rachel oversees office management, leads project coordination efforts, conducts market research, and writes several of BlackSummit’s weekly commentaries, as well as monthly newsletter “The Crossroads.”
DIMITRIS TSIOTOS
Dimitris Tsiotos holds a Master’s in Digital Transformation Management from ESCP Business School. His background bridges entrepreneurship, business strategy, and digital innovation. At FACS, Dimitris serves as Manager, overseeing product development, platform strategy, and partner relations. He drives the creation of digital tools that help businesses navigate carbon compliance under regulatory frameworks.
